Rebuilding the Shrine of Human Living

Holding in mind this year’s important United Nations Declaration of the Sustainable Development Goals, the Paris Climate Conference, and the 2015 United Nations theme: International Year of Soils, Seminar participants will explore together what it means to live the spiritual life at this time and contribute to the work of rebuilding the shrine of human living.
Speakers, all of whom incorporate spiritual practice as part of their life, include:

Martin Ping
Martin Ping is Chief Executive of the Hawthorne Valley Association. Inspired by the work of Rudolf Steiner, Hawthorne Valley Association seeks to promote social and cultural renewal through the integration of education, agriculture, and the arts by engaging in a unique mix of cultural and economic endeavors. In addition to maintaining a 400 acre bio-dynamic farm the Association includes a Waldorf School, a Farmscape Ecology program, a Center for Social Research, and a large natural food store, creamery and bakery and kraut cellar.

Judit Hegedus is Executive Director of College Board International, assisting students from the US and around the world to attend universities here and abroad. She will be reflecting on a number of global trends in education.

Jimena Leiva Roesch
As a Counselor with the Permanent Mission of Guatemala to the United Nations, Jimena Leiva Roesch was actively involved in the negotiations drawing up the Sustainable Development Goals which were recently launched by the UN. Jimena now works as a Policy Analyst with the International Peace Institute.
The program will include panel sessions with all speakers, a visualization exercise,
group meditation and group discussion periods
