Meditation and the Power of Goodwill

Many find that coming together for group meditation for world service on a regular basis is important to the inner strength and unity of group work. By working with spiritual energies and relating them to daily, physical life, individuals and groups help to condition the subjective atmosphere of the planet and create a climate for constructive change in the world and in our communities.

Most of the following meditations for world service have been used by groups around the world for decades. They are offered to people of goodwill everywhere:

Goodwill Meditation Group: Every Wednesday a meditation outline is used by group members to strengthen and mobilise goodwill in the world. Goodwill is a powerful and creative energy already present in every society. Solution of the urgent problems facing humanity depends more than anything else on the harnessing and empowering of this energy.

Twelve Spiritual Festivals: The time of the full moon is a period when spiritual energies are uniquely available, facilitating a closer rapport between humanity and the spiritual Hierarchy. The energies contacted at these twelve spiritual festivals can be grounded at the time of the new moon, when there is an opportunity to focus on how the Plan is manifesting; and on the many ways in which the "power of the one Life" and the "love of the one soul" are working out through the servers of the world.

Cycle of Conferences: A visualisation initiative using the power of enlightened thought to help create a positive mental climate for conferences taking place on specific world problems.

Problems of Humanity: A study course on the major problems facing humanity is offered for group or individual use. Through study, discussion and meditation, course participants seek to generate a "thoughtform of solution", contributing to changes in the climate of world thought. Effective and practical changes in world affairs depend upon new ways of thinking. Course participants are encouraged to combine their studies with participation in local service activities.
