IDEA FROM THE AGELESS WISDOM
In the closing decades of the nineteenth and early decades of the twentieth century there was a renaissance in spiritual and esoteric thinking in the West. The perennial philosophy of the Ageless Wisdom had always been present at the heart of the great religious and philosophical traditions of the West and the East. Newer theosophical and esoteric teachings brought East and West together, and highlighted awareness that all is energy and that energy follows thought.
One strand of this newer teaching came from the writings of Alice A. Bailey. She presents esoteric philosophy, psychology and discipleship living as a practical way of preparing for, and working towards, a New Age in human affairs. Central to her vision is the idea that all human beings who are inspired to serve in the birthing of a civilization reflecting the true interdependence of Life form one group in consciousness. This group is referred to as the New Group of World Servers.
