Serious Blow to Dark Matter Theories?
A team of astronomers in Chile has conducted "the most accurate study so far of the motions of stars in the Milky Way" but found no evidence for dark matter. The standard model of the universe requires 83 per cent more matter than that which is visible to provide sufficient gravitational force to hold galaxies together.
