Calling For Participation By Society As A Whole

Forwarding, with gratitude, an article from INTER PRESS SERVICE News Agency by Fabiola Ortiz, with an interview of Rebeca Grynspan, U.N. under-secretary-general, who "calls for a constructive agenda to open up the political decision-making system to participation by society as a whole" at the inauguration of the World Centre for Sustainable Development in Brazil.

The Center is envisaged to play a role in the emergence of a ‘unified development agenda’, developing a synthesis between the three pillars of sustainable development:  economic, environmental and social. 

It is the hope that by September 2014 all of the elements for reaching a decision on the SDGs and the development framework that the world wants for the future will be in place.

And for all those who are reading this Blog, may we hold the thought that the Sustainable Development Goals will reflect the Love and Light from all of those great spiritual and cosmic lives that look over and guide our planetary evolution.  We can call to them, together, using the world prayer, the Great Invocation.

From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into human minds.
Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into human hearts.
May the Coming One return to Earth.

From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide all little human wills -
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the centre which we call the human race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
