Triangles Service and the Promotion
of Right Human Relations in Vietnam

To my knowledge, Triangles materials and A.A.B.’s books were introduced into Vietnam before 1975, via Mr. Ngo Thanh Ha, an Arcane School student and a late friend of mine. After that, due to social events, the books almost fell into oblivion until the 1980s when I received them from him by chance. In my first reading of the Triangles papers, especially the Triangles folder, I thought it should be used as a mode of simple service. Thus, its translation was made and circulated among my circle of friends, and later the English version and papers were used by certain new A.S. students.

As a result, several Triangles’ units were formed and eagerly participated in.  However, over time due to death and other reasons, a number of them ceased working. Only a few have continued up to present. However, we already had some experiences in forming triangles with foreign and domestic coworkers. At the same time, certain A.A.B.’s books were translated into Vietnamese and in  2008 they began being published in Vietnam under contracts signed with Lucis Trust Geneva and permits issued by local authorities.

Thanks to the said Vietnamese versions’ circulation, the number of readers gradually increased. And during the recent years, the Triangles service has received a new impetus: This service and other spiritual services such as full moon and new moon meditations, Sunday meditation on money, Thursday meditation on preparation for the reappearance of The Christ, five o’clock linking, were presented to many youths. Since then, several Triangles units have been formed and worked regularly in a free and spontaneous manner. At the same time, the use of The Great Invocation as an act of world service, its Reader’s Digest Dec. 1991 reprint and Vietnamese version, and the introduction to the above translations, were included in a bilingual small book for the public.[i]

The book briefly presents the theme of Rebirth, Karma, of Evolution, and the purpose of life, as well as a basic meditation for each individual to know himself, and to lead a useful and happy life. In the end, there is mention of how to render simple, kind and effective world service, using The Great Invocation and the power of thought.

Later, during 2017 and 2018, I made a tour through all the provinces and important cities in my country to campaign for protecting the environment in its two aspects: purifying the feelings and thoughts in each person’s heart and mind and enhancing their full respect for Nature and awareness of environmental pollution prevention through the right sorting and processing of waste materials.

On my way, the above book was presented to anyone interested whom I met along the way, emphasizing the simple technique of “Right thoughts, leading to Good feelings, and then to Right speech and Right actions.” Following this simple formula will result in Right attitude to each other which is an important factor in building right human relations.

On the tour, I consciously created the magnetic linking in daily meditation with each locality during my stay. I also had the chance of taking cable-car to Mount Fansipan, the highest peak of Indochina, whereon I meditated for a while, praying for regional peace, cooperation, solidarity and spiritual development.

I remember meeting several types of people, many spiritual aspirants, and to this day I continue to feel most thankful for their true understanding and kind support. Particularly, I happened to have a chance of cheerfully dealing with many junior high school students, while I was making my presentation and meditation in a small park near their school. It was so joyful when listening to their lovely stories, and answering their curious and at times, funny questions. I also happily explained to them the easy work they could do daily to improve their studies, there dealings with the environment, as ways of making themselves anew as they move towards a brighter future.

In another city, I unexpectedly fell into the den of a gang of the so-called “black society”. At first, I was worried and even frightened but, when knowing the purpose of my tour and my daily presentation, the gang leader showed kindness and helped me feel quite at home and even protected my belongings from being stolen by his subordinates during my stay. Thus, after my daily presentation in the city park or near the museum, I worked at his home with my laptop, while listening to their chatting with each other—including some miserable stories. I gradually came to understand some of the reasons why they chose to live that way. At the end of my stay, I bade farewell to them, with best wishes, in true friendship and brotherly love. As A.A.B. said in her Unfinished Autobiography, “I completely believe in the Good, the True and the Beauty in human hearts, regardless of their appearance and expressions, which are the main factors of salvation for each and all.”

Now, we have a circle of youthful people interested and regularly taking part in the above-mentioned services and the study of spiritual teachings, in several units of service. One point of light in Saigon has been registered and hopefully, another point will soon be registered in Hanoi, as well as several more points in other main cities, to form a domestic network of even energy distribution, in connection to the Worldwide Network of Love and Light. This may be regarded as a stable development, steadily but slowly growing in the time to come.
