Everything changes, and the life forces in a universe are incessantly working; as the river of Heraclitus, not for a moment they become motionless. A universe comes into being because a cosmic entity is embodying itself; and a /universe dies, as a human being dies, because it has come to the point where the major part of its energies have already passed into invisible realms. The same fundamental laws prevail in the great as in the small. Death is only a change; life on earth, is only one minute in the life of our souls. The only enduring thing is pure consciousness, which includes everything else.

At the moment we are very much within the energies of Sagittarius, a zodiacal sign called in some ancient books the ‘sign of silence’.1 It refers to that silence that comes from the restraint of speech through the control of thought. This seems particularly pertinent today with the intensity of debate and the polarisation of thinking that is occurring in all aspects of human living as it adjusts to the new incoming energies.

In the Great Invocation, the word purpose is both the 60^th word and the 68^th word. As the 60^th word it comes in a line referring to human wills (and the Scorpionic battle), and as the 68^th word it comes in a line referring to the Masters of the Hierarchy (and their dedicated life of service). Adding these two numbers, 60 and 68 gives the number 128. This number, 128, is of particular significance because it is the raw numerical value of the word BROTHERHOOD, which is the basic keynote that underlies human learning in the Aquarian age. [2+18+15+20+8+5+18+8+15+15+4 = 128].

Unity in diversity’ has become a well-known phrase to express harmony and unity between dissimilar individuals or groups. It is a concept that shifts focus from Unity, based on a mere tolerance of differences, towards a more complex unity based on an understanding that difference enriches human interactions.

There is a phrase in the ageless wisdom teachings that succinctly describes this period into which we are entering within the larger cycle of the ages—not the immediate future but rather it’s a projection somewhat into the world that will exist as the Aquarian age, along with the seventh Ray of Ceremonial Magic, come more fully into manifestation.  By reflecting on it we can gain a glimpse of that which is to come and which we can appropriate now as we work together in our Triangles work to bring that future into the present.
