Humanity, as we all know too well, is in a period of major crisis with the worldwide spread of the Corona Virus, the economic effects of Lockdown and this on top of the constant stream of smaller crises that continually arise, of which the current social unrest in the US is an example. Yet, it is often at such times that expressions of love are more evident, perhaps because crisis brings out the best in humanity.

There are three key words in the title of today’s presentation: Triangles, Journey, Synthesis with the word Journey being at the heart of the matter. It is a collective journey, one that we all share through the work we have in common within the field of service known simply as Triangles. However it is also, for each and everyone of us, very much an individual experience, one that is unique according to the place in which we stand - the culture and the landscape that colour who and what we are, what we are expected to be or would like to be and become.

During this period when there is a measure of pause from the normal activities, we can use our time more effectively in planetary service. One of the tasks with which we are challenged is to evoke the will aspect of the soul and this is one of the deeper aspects of the Triangles work for, as a group, we can provide a ground through which the energies of the higher centers upon the planet can be stepped down and released into humanity.

We are now in the reflective phase after the intensity of the Wesak full moon and the New York and given the current world circumstances there is much indeed to reflect on. This rather wonderful poem by Wendell Berry called The Peace of Wild Things came to my attention recently when a friend of mine set up a share a daily poem to uplift us during these difficult times of Lockdown.
