Humanity: The World Disciple

From a talk given at a recent Triangles Webinar:

In Esoteric Astrology, the Tibetan reminds us that the “Law of the Universe is to all eternity the good of the whole” (adapted), and goes on to say “naught can arrest this happening; for who can arrest the impact of these energies which play upon and through our planet.” Our planetary Logos holds all within the circle of His divine love. Within the circumference or ring-pass-not of His eternal Will-to-Good and supreme sacrifice, all lives work out their predetermined purpose. Our work, in this unfolding planetary effort, is to bring goodwill from latency into objectivity. Goodwill, it has been said, must become “active in expression and in tangible deed upon the physical plane”, and not ‘frozen’ or ‘trapped’ upon the higher planes. The Triangles network and the work of Triangles helps to release and circulate this bountiful and beneficent energy throughout the planetary spheres relating Hierarchy and humanity, and humanity and the three lower kingdoms in a more meaningful and constructive way.

As the divine Intermediary, humanity has a pivotal role to perform to work in accord with the divine Plan in helping to raise the little lives that embody the lower kingdoms of nature. And just as the great illumined Lives Who constitute the spiritual Hierarchy of the planet have passed through and transcended human experience, the little lives are working their way towards the human stage of development. Spiritual philosophy affirms that the keynote of the Lord of the World, our planetary Logos is “HUMANITY for it is the basis, the goal and the essential inner structure of all being. Humanity itself is the key to all evolutionary processes and to all correct understanding of the divine Plan, expressing in time and space the divine Purpose.” Telepathy and the Etheric Vehicle, p.26

Such have been the strides made in the capacity of humanity to measure up to its divine responsibilities that Alice Bailey wrote in the last century: “The control and the creative development of the three lower kingdoms in nature is slowly being taken out of the hands of the deva evolution (hitherto responsible) and placed under the supervision of mankind”. This is a truly enlightening statement. One has only to reflect upon the proliferation of movements dedicated to the welfare of the animal kingdom and the exponential rise in the ‘domestication’ of animals in homes throughout the world; and the research organisations, horticultural societies, and the like, that are focused on working with the vegetable kingdom; and, the manner in which minerals are drawn from the earth into the clear light of day, to generate electricity for lighting, heating and for a myriad other purposes, such as manufacturing, and in creating the intricate infrastructure and transportation systems in villages, towns and cities across the world, to improve human living. Powerful currents of thought, too, such as deep ecology, Gaia theory, green policies and sustainable development have captured the attention of public consciousness over the last thirty years or so. All these initiatives and shifts in consciousness indicate humanity’s growing focus, awareness and responsibility to these little lives.

There is an interesting and arresting comment in the book ‘Telepathy and the Etheric Vehicle’ p. 62, which throws a little more light on the role of the human to the sub-human kingdoms: “humanity will provide the area of mind within whose ring-pass-not the subhuman kingdoms will find the correspondence of the Universal Mind which they need for their unfoldment; man, as you well know, is the macrocosm for the microcosm of the lower kingdoms in nature. This is the goal of all human service.” This is an illuminating thought in that humanity will help to develop the faculty of manas or embryonic intelligence in the lower kingdoms of nature.

Humanity, the world disciple, is awakening to its high calling of acting as a divine intermediary connecting the inner and outer levels of our planetary Life through a bridge in consciousness. Writing many years ago, the Tibetan observed, that “upon the shoulders of humanity rests unbelievable responsibility”. We are not privy to know exactly what He had in mind when writing these words but perhaps the following ideas may provide a clue. It is not easy to visualise a future world in which every incarnating human being will wield love and light with consummate ease, and in accordance with divine Purpose. The potency of the human kingdom at that far distant date, on a planetary and solar scale, will be unimaginable. Not without good reason has the Tibetan commented that through the medium of humanity there will be established upon earth “an outpost of the Consciousness of God in the solar system” and a focal point of such energy that “humanity - as a whole - can be a factor in the solar system, bringing about changes and events of a unique nature in the planetary Life and lives (and therefore in the solar system itself) and inducing an interstellar activity”. He goes on to say that through the human kingdom a station of light will develop which will serve “not only the planet, and not only our particular solar system, but the seven systems of which ours is one.” These are sobering and profound thoughts and allude to the noble destiny of the human family from a cosmic, systemic and planetary perspective. Millennia will pass before this comes to fruition but this vision gives an indication of the interconnectedness of life, and a recognition that all evolving lives, kingdoms, planets, suns and beyond have a unique and indispensable part to play in the macrocosmic Whole.

In consciously transforming and geometrically reshaping the planetary etheric, Triangles is instrumental in magnetising the link between the Triangles network and the Hierarchy. Spiritual triangular patterns of energy sweep throughout the network from point to point precipitating a continuous stream of pure love from realms beyond the cosmic physical. Into a troubled yet awakening world, these pure waves of energy light up human consciousness, touch human hearts and lift the gaze of humanity into the wide expanse and vistas of the heavenly worlds. The clarion call of the Abode of God reverberates throughout the ethers. Those whose ears are attuned and eyes turned towards the light already perceive and interpret the heavenly beneficence here on earth.
