The Antahkarana and the Temple of God
The links, or bridges that we are forging in consciousness to our co-workers through our work with Triangles draws a comparison with the links that we need to forge between the personality and the soul and later with the higher spiritual realms. These bridges in consciousness which have the cumbersome name of antahkaranas are generally forged through the normal process of evolution, although only at the later stages of that lengthy process. Those who are seeking to hasten this process work consciously to create these bridges through a triple process of meditation, study and service. As we strive to serve humanity through our Triangles work we create soul links with our co-workers and this helps to generate a deeper connection to the indwelling soul, for the soul is group conscious. As our connection with the soul strengthens, it can work increasingly through us which strengthens the soul links we have with others, and thus increases the potency of our Triangles work. Such is the spiral cyclical nature of consciousness, drawing us onwards and upwards at the same time as reinforcing through repetition the work already done. And of course, when we actively strive to bridge the gap in consciousness that exists between the soul infused personality and the higher spiritual energies that reflect the monad, we become not only channels for soul light but also for the intense light of Shamballa.
We can perhaps begin to see why Triangles work is so dear to the heart of the Hierarchy, for it not only lightens the etheric realms in which humanity labours, but it is a channel for the soul and the emerging light of Shamballa into the three worlds of human endeavour which circulate through the ethers via the Triangles and thus, penetrate into the consciousness of humanity. This lays the foundation for later effort when humanity will work directly with the Hierarchy building bridges between the various globes, chains and schemes. We read that, there are "rainbow bridges" being forged everywhere within the whole, carrying the sevenfold energies of the seven rays from planet to planet, from system to system, and from plane to plane on cosmic levels. It is over these bridges that the will of the related spiritual Identities is projected, for it is via the antahkarana that spirit works, that life processes are controlled, and the will of all developing aspects of Deity function.1
When these bridges are completed and the triangular relationships within the Whole are established, then the Temple of God, the solar system, with all its courts and holy places, will be opened up to humanity who will then be able, without limitation, to have conscious access to all its parts.
We are currently within the constellation of Taurus and approaching the great annual festival of Wesak when the Buddha returns and in cooperation with the Christ widens the channel of contact between Shamballa, the Hierarchy and Humanity. Taurus is ruled by the fifth Ray, that of concrete science, a ray that currently works through the planet Venus and we read that as we each strive to build the higher aspects of the antahkarana, that between the soul infused personality and the spiritual realms, we contribute to the creation of the antahkarana between our planet and the planet Venus and it passes on from there to the Heart of the Sun and later to the cosmic mental plane. 2
Venus is we read, the earth’s primary and that it was the Lords of Flame from the planet Venus coming to Earth that produced the first flicker of consciousness in certain groups of animal men. This momentous event occurred in the third root-race in the fourth round. It was not just an accidental and fortunate happening; it was a planned event that brought about a mysterious absorption by the Earth of Venusian force. We read that the karmic tie between the two Heavenly Men—one in a positive incarnation and the other in a negative—caused the working out of an old debt and a planetary alliance. Light flashed forth in Lemurian days in a number of great groups of the human family when these two opposite poles made electrical connection. 3
We also read, that there is a triangular relationship between the Venus, the Earth and the Saturn schemes and within our chain there is another triangle between Mars, Mercury and Earth. 4 And these are just two of many triangles that exist within the Whole and are the way by which rays and streams of force pass from one aspect of that Whole to another. The complexity of the nature of Life becomes increasingly apparent as we read further, but there is one simple truth that stands out, which is that all is in triangular relationship to each other. And it is as we open our eyes to the multitude of connections that exist within the greater Whole and the part humanity will eventually play in forging consciousness into these new and increasingly wider realms, that we come to realise that relationship is at the heart of the process. It is those triangular relationships that exist between the centres of our own etheric bodies, the relationship between the physical, emotional and mental planes, the relationship between the higher and lower triads and all those Triangles that we seek to create with others on soul levels, that are indicators of the triangular relationships that will need to be forged between planes, globes, chains and planetary schemes in the future. As we know, the microcosm is the reflection of the macrocosm. And as our consciousness expands through meditation, study and service we come to a deeper understanding of the triangular relationships that exist within and this aids us in our striving to understand those higher triangles in the macrocosm and the part we can play in establishing them in consciousness allowing a deeper understanding of the Being of which we are all a part. It is worth pondering therefore, the importance of our daily work in Triangles and its part in the foundational work that is preparing the way for the eventual freedom of movement in consciousness within the Temple of God in the Heavens.
