“STRENGTHENING THE HANDS OF THE NEW GROUP OF WORLD SERVERS”
Meditation is the primary form of service for those following a spiritual path. It is a means of cooperation and alignment with hierarchical intent. The new moon period follows upon the cycle of outbreathing in the rhythmic cycles of the breath; it is a time of pause wherein together we can establish a soul-mind-brain alignment. During this period we work in thought to concretize the ideas and impressions received at the time of the full moon period and undertake the sometimes difficult process of translating them into practical plans that can be of service in the world. The effect of this meditative effort is to enhance the many ways in which the “power of the one Life” and the “love of the one soul” are working out through all true servers everywhere. The meeting will be broadcast on ZOOM and will include an exploration on the theme, Preparing for Wesak: Looking Towards a Post Coronavirus World, followed by meditation. Those who wish are invited to stay on the call for a brief period to consider the questions together.
Theme: Preparing for Wesak: Looking Towards a Post Coronavirus World
The Taurus New Moon takes place at a time when humanity is still immersed in the pandemic crisis. Historians with an esoteric understanding will in future decades understand something of the significance of the crisis which is so profoundly conditioning the mental, emotional and physical environment during this high point of the spiritual year. They will be able to look back and perhaps notice something of the trajectory of events which have followed so rapidly on from the massive stimulation of the December Festival Week of the New Group of World Servers.
Immersed in the crisis, as we all are, we can use the opportunity of this New Moon to attempt to stand back from the psychic turmoil to orient ourselves towards the coming Wesak Festival. And in this light, we can reflect on what sort of changes we might expect in the post coronavirus world.
Wesak invites us to ponder these possible changes and consider the way in which our modern age handles desire. How has the desire life of humanity changed since the years when the Tibetan was working with Alice Bailey? Can we see any signs of the Buddha’s clarifying techniques of dispassion, detachment and discrimination receiving a boost as a result of the current crisis? And how do we envisage the application of these techniques affecting the working out of the Plan in the coming years – in all the fields of human relations (education; psychology; renewal of the nations; economics; religion; medicine and healing). Let’s try to use the clear reason taught by the Buddha as we ponder these questions.
