“STRENGTHENING THE HANDS OF THE NEW GROUP OF WORLD SERVERS”
Meditation is the primary form of service for those following a spiritual path. It is a means of cooperation and alignment with hierarchical intent. The new moon period follows upon the cycle of outbreathing in the rhythmic cycles of the breath; it is a time of pause wherein together we can establish a soul-mind-brain alignment. During this period we work in thought to concretize the ideas and impressions received at the time of the full moon period and undertake the sometimes difficult process of translating them into practical plans that can be of service in the world. The effect of this meditative effort is to enhance the many ways in which the “power of the one Life” and the “love of the one soul” are working out through all true servers everywhere.
The meeting, which will be broadcast on ZOOM will include an exploration on the theme A Vision of World Unity, followed by group discussion and meditation.
The whole history of humankind can be told in terms of its ability to gradually unfold the faculty of sight, to respond to the vision seen within the light of the group soul, and to actuate that vision through creative activity. Naturally, as this vision is brought down, it is distorted, takes many contradictory forms, and this in turn constitutes the veil of illusion in which the thought life of humanity necessarily functions. Today, this veil is less opaque than ever as the rapport between the human mind and the soul (the indwelling life, the true self) strengthens. This light, as it pours forth into human minds, clarifies the moral responsibility of humanity and encourages an intelligent, rational apprehension of its spiritual and psychological nature revealed through one’s relationships with others and with the rest of the natural world.
The ideal of World Unity, today well rooted in the human psyche, has profound moral, political, economic, and social implications that cut across a variety of academic disciplines and fields of thought. The practical idealist must contend with these complexities and “think them through” to a plausible solution. This presentation will consider the forms—intellectual, spiritual, and practical—that the vision of World Unity takes today. The meeting will discuss several of these forms, juxtaposing them with the basic tenets of the Ageless Wisdom philosophy.
Questions for reflection:
1. What role should diversity play in the practical expression of World Unity? If diversity at all levels is to be maintained, what forms of expression will “unity” take—i.e. what will be unified? How will we know when it is achieved?
2. Can you distinguish between your own vision of World Unity and the collective vision which comprises the entire body of human thinking on this subject? Are you able to identify any prejudices (either for or against) in your own thinking?
3. What role does the soul play in “upholding the vision” and “thinking it through” into manifestation?
