The Rhythm of Life

The following remarks were broadcast in the Triangles Webinar on October 30, 2017:

Through our studies of ancient scriptures we read of distant times when people lived simpler and more harmonious lives, in touch with the currents of the natural world and as a consequence, recognized themselves as part of something much greater. They synchronized their breath within the all-encompassing breath of God and life was lived more as a collective experience.  Myths and legends gave deeper meaning to the seemingly ordinary events of the day and taught lessons that served to deepen the connection with spirit.

This connection with the underlying current of life is not generally supported by contemporary culture.  The busyness and over-extension which characterizes most people’s lives today often leaves little time or the requisite consciousness to deal with much beyond the daily demands and the continual distractions.  Much of the present world view is defined by a rather concrete minded scientific perspective on reality which denies the subjective reality.  So while science has contributed much to the improvement of our lives and the expansion of our understanding, it has also been responsible for the narrowing of our vision, causing us to lose much that previously had given meaning to our lives.  Without a sense of connection with life’s larger rhythms, we separate off and seek artificial means of generating that connection, substituting the unreal for the Real.

The writer Joseph Campbell spent his life encouraging us to find this deeper connection by incorporating myth into our modern world view.  He was famous for encouraging people to follow their bliss. And he had a suggestion for doing this. He wrote,

“You must have a room, or a certain hour or so a day, where you don’t know what was in the newspapers that morning, you don’t know who your friends are, you don’t know what you owe anybody, you don’t know what anybody owes to you. This is a place where you can simply experience and bring forth what you are and what you might be. This is the place of creative incubation. At first you may find that nothing happens there. But if you have a sacred place and use it, something eventually will happen.” Joseph Campbell, The Power of Myth

Triangles is one such activity that creates this incubation space within our lives.  In that space, something sacred can emerge as we connect with the cosmic pulse that flows in through the network.   In the teachings there is a beautiful passage that describes the effect that occurs when increasing numbers of people tune their bodies so that they vibrate in concert with the macrocosmic whole.  Then, it’s said “....the little world of men begins to throb in rhythmic unison. Changes are wrought. The cosmic heart, the heart systemic and the little heart of man begin to beat as one.” Triangles workers everywhere contribute to this rhythmic beating.  And as a result we are aiding the process of lifting the energies of the planetary solar plexus center to the heart.  Then, as the different hearts begin to beat as one the divine circulatory flow can be reestablished on our planet, softening the present harshness and note of fear that is causing so much damage and disruption for so many living creatures today.

We can set the intention to breathe in fuller resonance with the love energy of our system by observing three points within the day, creating a triangle of energy connection:

Dawn has always been known as a sacred time.  It is the time related to the first, or Father aspect, to the Central Spiritual Sun, to Shamballa, and to the first ray energy.  Seizing this moment sets the intention and purpose for the day ahead.  When we meditate at this time we can access special energies that are not available at other times of the day.  During this period we can sound the Gayatri.

The second point we can observe is at noon. This time is related to the Son or the Soul, the second or middle principle, and to the planetary heart, the spiritual Hierarchy. This period is related to the Heart of the Sun.   At this time we can use the noontime recollection.

Then at the sunset hour, we bring in the energy of manifestation, the third aspect of divinity, the Holy Spirit and Humanity which is related to the physical sun. Many people also use the Gayatri again at this time.

As we establish this rhythm within the day we become more consciously a part of the life divine and we aid in establishing the three-way flow of energy distribution between the three planetary centers of Humanity, Hierarchy and Shamballa and the distribution of these energies through humanity to all the lower kingdoms in nature.

As we learn to stand more fully within this divine triangle, we can bring its energetic field to bear upon all the situations we encounter in our journey.  We can, for example, during this time when we approach the Scorpio full moon period, contribute towards the alignment possible with the great star Sirius, the star that has such a deep relationship with our Hierarchy, and with the World Teacher Himself.
