“STRENGTHENING THE HANDS OF THE NEW GROUP OF WORLD SERVERS”
Meditation is the primary form of service for those following a spiritual path. It is a means of cooperation and alignment with hierarchical intent. The new moon period follows upon the cycle of out-breathing in the rhythmic cycles of the breath; it is a time of pause wherein together we can establish a soul-mind-brain alignment. During this period we work in thought to concretize the ideas and impressions received at the time of the full moon period and undertake the sometimes difficult process of translating them into practical plans that can be of service in the world. The effect of this meditative effort is to enhance the many ways in which the “power of the one Life” and the “love of the one soul” are working out through all true servers everywhere. The meeting will be held in the library of our offices at 866 United Nations Plaza, Suite 482 on the fourth floor and will include an exploration on the theme Death: an Entry into Greater Life, followed by meditation and group discussion. THEME -- Death: an Entry into Greater Life
Fear of death is said to be one of the major factors holding humanity back from taking a major step forward into greater freedom. But fortunately today there is a growing understanding among many that there is a world on the other side of the veil and the consequent realisation that there is in reality no such thing as death, only entry into greater Life. As this recognition grows within human consciousness it is freeing us from the power that the fear of death has held sway for so long. We will ponder some of the many topics that are contributing to this growing opening within human consciousness.
QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION AND DISCUSSION:
1. How does the contemplation of an expanded view about death change one’s life?
2. Buddhist teachings state that by cultivating an understanding of impermanance and living a life guided by spiritual values, leads to a “good death.” What signs do we see in the world today that attitudes towards death are shifting in this direction?
