“STRENGTHENING THE HANDS OF THE NEW GROUP OF WORLD SERVERS”

Meditation is the primary form of service for those following a spiritual path. It is a means of cooperation and alignment with hierarchical intent. The new moon period follows upon the cycle of out-breathing in the rhythmic cycles of the breath; it is a time of pause wherein together we can establish a soul-mind-brain alignment.  During this period we work in thought to concretize the ideas and impressions received at the time of the full moon period and undertake the sometimes difficult process of translating them into practical plans that can be of service in the world. The effect of this meditative effort is to enhance the many ways in which the “power of the one Life” and the “love of the one soul” are working out through all true servers everywhere. The meeting will include an exploration on the theme The Gift of Understanding, followed by meditation and group discussion. The Gift of Understanding

The world is in a state of crisis caused by many factors among which are the Covid-19 pandemic, nationalism, extremism, horrific racial inequality, etc., etc. This crisis occurs on multiple levels simultaneously; it is physical, emotional, mental and most significantly spiritual. Today, a growing number of people are recognizing crisis as a spiritual opportunity.

On the one hand it appears, using the words of Yeats, that “the falcon cannot hear the falconer, things fall apart, the center cannot hold and mere anarchy is loosed upon the Earth.”  On the other hand, there has been an astonishing display of kindness from ordinary and well-known people and groups, large and small. Countries from around the world have offered help in little and big ways to meet the horrific suffering. The WHO has also made a great contribution through its efforts to coordinate a global response and present a global perspective. 

From another angle, the pandemic has engendered “the pain which can bring ‘due reward of Light and Love.’” This leads us to ask: what are the healing energies, among the many available energies, that have always helped humanity in her many crises, that are most needed and that are forever present but not often invoked? Our presentation will explore a little of how the “due reward of Light and Love” might possibly manifest in response to the pain caused by the challenges and problems of our time.

Questions for reflection and discussion:

1. Are the current global events indications that humanity is penetrating and breaking through into that which lies below the surface and towards those qualities which stand under the form of the threefold world?
2. How conscious are we, as aspirants and otherwise, of the role that understanding plays in our everyday lives?
3. What are some of the significances of Alice Bailey’s definition of understanding as “… a revealing energy which permits you to achieve.” (The Rays and the Initiations, p. 557)
4. What evidence indicates that there is increasing understanding in the world today?
