G7 Summit

June 11-13 2021

Dear Co-workers,

The Cycle of Conferences is placing a focus, beginning today, on the 47th G7 Summit, Carbis Bay, UK, 11-13 June 2021.

It has been said that the habit of confronting crises is a long-established one within humanity. These crises are part of the evolution of consciousness, and must be lived through in order to convey their particular gifts. The Group of 7 (G7) grouping of nations (originally only four) was founded in response to some of the major economic upheavals of the 1970s, and has become a vehicle through which the leaders of its member states and organisations – the USA, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Canada and the EU* – can coordinate response to major economic and political challenges.

This year, it is chaired by the UK and is meeting in Carbis Bay, Cornwall. Also invited are leaders from India, South Korea, South Africa and Australia, and there is some suggestion that this may be intended to pave the way for an expansion of the group. What is undeniable is that there are no shortage of crises for the assembled leaders to grapple with. The pandemic is likely to require the largest global recovery package since the end of World War 2, and those present bear a significant responsibility for shaping this recovery in a positive manner. It is a moment of opportunity for real global leadership: for applying the will-to-good in service of a synthetic vision of the whole. Alice Bailey notes that the work of those who wield first ray energy is very difficult, as this energy often works initially in a destructive manner; yet it inevitably leads to fusion and blending. Seeing beyond the immediate horizon to the vision of synthesis that is possible requires a steadfast dedication to the One Humanity. Through our work in visualisation we can support this outcome.

Our lighted support of the G7 Summit begins now, and continues until the final day of the Meeting on the 13th of June.

From Thoughts for Pondering:

"The political regimes of the world need orienting to each other; it has never been the divine plan that all nations and races should conform to some standard political ideology or be reduced to a uniform general form of government. Nations differ; they have different cultures and traditions; they can function adequately under varying and distinctive governments; nevertheless, they can at the same time attain a unity of purpose, based upon a genuine desire for the true welfare and progress of all men everywhere.
