Uitdrukking geven aan bedoeling en wil door synthese. – Michael Galloway (Engels)

Het is niet gemakkelijk voor de discipel in training om het gevoel voor synthese en het gebruik van de wil te verbinden en te beseffen dat het aankweken van deze eerstestraals waarneming een machtige methode is, waardoor de hoogste aspecten van de goddelijke wil (tot nu toe in embryo in hem aanwezig) ontplooid kunnen worden.

Sommige levens zijn gevangenen en weten het. Andere zijn gevangenen en weten het niet. De sleutel tot lijden ligt hier, in het gebied van het denkvermogen. Pijn en smart, opstandigheid en de bewuste drang naar het verbeteren en veranderen van de omstandigheden, worden slechts daar aangetroffen waar, zoals wij het noemen, individualiteit gevonden wordt, waar het „ik” complex overheersend is en waar een zelfbewust wezen werkzaam is.

Opoffering is, technisch gesproken, het bereiken van een toestand van gelukzaligheid en van extase, daar het de verwezenlijking is van een ander goddelijk aspect, tot nog toe verborgen zowel door het zielelichaam als door de persoonlijkheid. Het is een begrijpen en herkennen van de wil ten goede, waardoor het scheppen mogelijk en onvermijdelijk werd en de ware oorzaak van openbaring was. Denk hierover na, want de werkelijke betekenis van opoffering verschilt zeer veel van de gewone opvatting ervan.

Er bestaat niet zoiets als opoffering wanneer de geestelijke wil zichzelf uitdrukt. – Olga Sokolova (Russisch)

De wil is in wezen een uitdrukking van de wet van opoffering. We hebben gezien, dat als de geestelijke wil, zelfs in geringe mate, zichzelf uitdrukte, er niet zo iets als opoffering was.

De symbolische actie van de grote Leraar van Nazareth zal slechts behoorlijk begrepen en de betekenis ervan naar waarde geschat worden wanneer groepsgevolgtrekkingen zorgvuldiger worden bestudeerd, de bedoeling van opoffering en dood op haar rechtmatige plaats in ‘s mensen bewustzijn wordt gebracht en de wet van geven, met alles wat daarmede gepaard gaat, juist verstaan en toegepast wordt.

U zult al opgemerkt hebben, wanneer u de Aanroep bestudeerd hebt, dat de drie voornaamste centra op onze planeet verbonden zijn: Shamballa, ‘waar de Wil van God gekend wordt’, de Hiërarchie, waar Christus regeert en van waaruit Hij nauwer contact zoekt met de mensen en het centrum dat wij de mensheid noemen. Er is een nauw verband tussen het eerste en het laatste couplet; de bestemming van de mens is, zoals u weet, om de vertegenwoordiger van Gods denkvermogen te zijn en zodoende actieve intelligentie uit te drukken, bewogen door liefde en in werking gesteld door de wil.

Deze omvorming zal een nieuw vermogen tot opoffering teweegbrengen, tot allesomvattende overgave, tot een helderder visie op het Geheel en een geest van samenwerking die tot nu toe onbekend is en die de eerste uitdrukking zal zijn van het grote beginsel om alles te delen, wat nu zo bitterhard nodig is.

The root of the word ‘sacrifice’ is Sacer," to make holy, or to make whole.” George Bargilis discusses this aspect of the conference keynote in connection with his initiatives in holistic education. He is the Managing Director of the American Academy School in Limassol, Cyprus. The school is a multicultural community that educates children from kindergarten age up to university entrance. All children are involved in charity work with the emphasis of their education being placed on “Wisdom above all in a loving and caring environment for every child.”

The Right Concentration of Power: Pathways to Spiritual Governance – Swaan Barrett and Michael Brehme

What is the “Right Concentration of Power” that can fulfil the directive given in the Great Invocation: Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth?  Unmanaged globalization has resulted in too much power becoming concentrated in the realm of economics and finance. Does the spirit of cosmopolitan democracy indicate a path out of this towards a future “global governance of the people, by the people, for the people” – global governance without world government?  In 2021 a global citizen’s assembly was organised to coincide with the United Nations Climate Change Conference – the first body that can claim to democratically represent the “Will” of the global population.

Through her initiative Organic Strategies, Swaan Barrett provides coaching and consultation for Visionary Leaders and Value-based Cultures in Organizations. Michael Brehme is the Executive Chair of Typhoo Tea Ltd. As the co-founder of Clipper Teas, he worked in close collaboration with Fairtrade during its infancy to further the cause of right relationships with poorer workers.
