“STRENGTHENING THE HANDS OF THE NEW GROUP OF WORLD SERVERS”
Meditation is the primary form of service for those following a spiritual path. It is a means of cooperation and alignment with hierarchical intent. The new moon period follows upon the cycle of out-breathing in the rhythmic cycles of the breath; it is a time of pause wherein together we can establish a soul-mind-brain alignment. During this period we work in thought to concretize the ideas and impressions received at the time of the full moon period and undertake the sometimes difficult process of translating them into practical plans that can be of service in the world. The effect of this meditative effort is to enhance the many ways in which the “power of the one Life” and the “love of the one soul” are working out through all true servers everywhere. The meeting will be held in the library of our offices at 866 United Nations Plaza, Suite 482 on the fourth floor and will include an exploration on the theme The Intersection of Political and Moral Discourse, followed by group discussion and meditation. The Intersection of Moral and Political Discourse
Human society and civilization can be conceived of as a vast network of interrelated thoughtforms. It is these thoughtforms, conditioned by the collective thought of humanity as a whole, that determine the form that human activity and civilization take at any time. These group-conceived thoughtforms also determine the way human societies define values, morality, beauty, and rightness. As society thinks, so it becomes.
This thinking is conditioned by a range of both subjective (inner, spiritual) and objective (outer, environmental) effects. Human society, existing in time space, is also largely conditioned by the realities of the past as well as its vision of the future to which it is inevitably being driven. Yet humanity can and does exercise its own agency in this creative process. Ultimately, the creation, conditioning, formulation, and reformulation of these thoughtforms plays out in the field of public discourse—the most salient today being the political.
This vast network of thoughtforms, interrelated as it is, is also largely compartmentalized. For instance, despite an often widespread agreement on basic moral values, there remains a lack of integration of these values into the realm of political discourse. This meeting addresses this phenomenon and what it means for 21st century discipleship.
Questions for Reflection and Discussion:
- What are some ways in which basic human values of goodwill and right relationship are reflected in political discourse?
- What role does the New Group of World Servers play in bridging between these two separate strands of thought?
- What are the implications of an eventual integration of the moral and the political? How will this contribute to the birth of a true spiritual culture?
