Klimaatverandering wordt langzaamaan - in de hoofden van mensen en hun leiders - de definitieve mondiale uitdaging; een die de mensheid dringend en eensgezind moet aanpakken en - tot op zekere hoogte - moet aflossen, voordat we onze andere sociaal-economische en politieke problemen volledig kunnen oplossen. Het verband tussen klimaatevenwicht en overleven en het besef dat het Leven altijd voorafgaat aan en elke activiteit mogelijk maakt, maken duidelijk hoe fundamenteel deze kwestie is. De implicaties ervan zijn werkelijk universeel en betreffen de planeet en alles en iedereen daarop, waarbij de mensheid zowel de hoofdschuldige als de verlosser.
