Two thousand years ago, the Christ revealed that ‘God is love’. This was probably one of the profoundest truths ever given out to the world and has enriched human experience immeasurably. Even today, we struggle to grasp the full implications of this eternal truth. Love, it is said, “brings all earthly karma to an end. Love induces that radiation which invokes and evokes not only the heart of God but the heart of humanity also. Love is the cause of all creation and the sustaining factor in all living”. (Discipleship in the New Age, Vol. 11, p. 541) Nonetheless, in the Aquarian dispensation, the Christ’s work will be to relate humanity to that “higher centre where the Father is contacted, where recognition of sonship is accorded and where the divine Purpose can be known.” This will ultimately lead humanity into an era undreamt of today, of which the present is but a pale and inadequate reflection.

We live in a sea of energies.  These energies pour ceaselessly and rhythmically through all things and provide the spiritual foundation for the fact of relationship.  All things are related through this etheric flow-- human beings, the animal and vegetable worlds, the planet as a whole, as well as the greater systemic and cosmic networks of which we are a minute part. Working within this web of energies as we engage in our Triangles work helps us to step back from the world of effects in which we daily live and enter into this subtler, subjective reality.  Through our participation in this work we thereby gain a larger perspective, a more synthetic world view.  This perspective reminds us that the wheel of life moves slowly, irrevocably onward through immense cycles, within cycles, that are unimaginable to us.  It’s said that the keynote of our Logos, the great Ancient of Days, the Lord of the World, is relationship.  We can see therefore how the work of Triangles is surely in some manner aiding the Logos in anchoring his keynote on Earth, a keynote that will surely find deeper resonance within the human kingdom as we move into the Aquarian age, for Aquarius is one of the pre-eminent signs of relationship.

Esoteric teachings on the constitution of man identify several “bodies” of manifestation that make up the vehicle of the human personality.  In addition to the physical body there are etheric, emotional, and mental forms through which the personality encounters experience.  The etheric body, known also as the pranic or energy body, is composed of a rarefied substance or ether.  It underlies the outer physical body and serves as the blueprint or the inner pattern to which the outer form corresponds.  These bodies serve the personality as instruments of experience for the reception, assimilation, and distribution of numerous energies.  The importance of the etheric body is an accepted concept in eastern medicine and healing and is slowly penetrating western science, bringing an awareness that the etheric body conceals the true nature and cause of the human objective state.

A recent article "Meet the doughnut: the new economic model that could help end inequality" published on the World Economic Forum website in April 2017 uses the image of a global network of interconnected triangles to represent a 'network of flows', a distributive economy to help end inequality.

There is a beautiful passage in the teachings which could be meditated upon during this period, giving us insights into the energies now available to us and how we can work more effectively with them.  It states, “That which is to be revealed lies all around us and within us.   It is the significance of all that is embodied in form, the meaning behind the appearance, the reality veiled by the symbol, the truth expressed in substance. (Esoteric Psychology, Vol. II, pp. 247).”  This unveiling of the symbol is the whole objective of the spiritual path, for at every stage of that path, at each turn within the spiral, we are given glimpses into a reality that lies as yet beyond our grasp. As we seek to capture those glimpses and manifest them in some way, they become the seeds and catalyst of our next step upon the Path of Return.  During this period of “outpouring” in the cycles of the breath, our challenge is to learn to work with the matter aspect, with the form life and the hidden splendour which it veils.  Our challenge therefore is to seek to impress that matter with that which we garnered during the recently passed higher interlude period and to use those impressions and manifest them in some form that will contribute to the working out of the divine Plan within our world.
