The Lucis Trust Library is open to everyone but please phone ahead of your scheduled visit. It seeks to make the new age teachings available to as wide a public as possible. No charge or subscription is required. The library is maintained by voluntary donations and any contributions that readers can offer are sincerely appreciated.

Catalogues are available on request, price £3.

LIBRARY HOURS

The Library is open from Monday to Friday between 10.30am and 4.30 pm. During these hours books may be borrowed and returned and members are welcome to read and consult books on the premises. Please phone ahead of your scheduled visit.

POSTAL SERVICE

This service is available to anyone within the UK and Europe. When borrowing books by post, readers are asked to quote title and author and, to avoid disappointment, to give several choices. Readers are required to pay postage both ways: they are asked to note the cost of outward postage and, in returning the books, to insert stamps to this value plus something extra for packing materials, in the envelope inside the back of the book. Two books and two cassettes may be borrowed at a time.

RETURN AND RENEWAL OF BOOKS

All items should be returned within one month from the date of issue (Europe two months). The date of issue is shown at the back of the book or cassette. Requests for extension for a further month will normally be granted, provided there is no waiting list. Items can be renewed by telephone. Requests will not be acknowledged if the renewal is granted.

In asking for an extension it is essential to quote the original date of issue, written on the slip at the back of the book or cassette.

Readers are asked to take very great care of our library books. Many of them are valuable and irreplaceable. Books should not be lent to others. Books being returned by post should be protected and as securely packed as on arrival saving the original wrapping for return post. Careful wrapping greatly extends their life. Thank you for your cooperation.

Although we have never instituted a system of monetary fines for overdue books, we would very much appreciate your adherence to due dates. We depend on your responsible care of these often fragile books, and their return so that others may use them too. We will contact you when books are excessively overdue, but we much prefer your co-operation.

Book donations are welcome, however, please send us a list of any books that you wish to donate to the library before sending the books to us. We will then let you know which of them would be most useful.
